Fairmile Construction installed a large single storey extension to our 1930’s detached house involving significant steelwork to support the remaining bay window and structural alterations to the ground floor with the floating wooden floor being replaced with a concrete slab to allow for underfloor heating.
All works up to and including the kitchen installation and decoration were included. Steve was recommended to us by our architect and also was the most competitive from the quotes we received.
We also took our own references which were positive.
From start to finish we were kept up to date with progress and communications generally were first class. Steve clearly understood what was important to us and took over all of the coordination including building control and worked hard throughout to ensure that progress was maintained , no small achievement in the middle of a pandemic.
Excellent construction knowledge was apparent with solutions quickly provided, agreed and implemented.
Quality of work was good and any sub-contractors used maintained this quality, we received positive feedback from the building control officer.
The site was kept tidy and secure at the end of each day which was important to us having a dog and 5 people living in the house whilst the works were completed. The account was settled easily and as expected.
